Philips
Philips is a sort of head used for screw fasteners. It is one of the two most common sorts
of screw head available today. It is a very simple cross shape that allows the appropriate
screwdriver to be inserted and used from several positions. Its main advantage over the older
slotted screw is that the screwdriver tends to slip out of place less often, since the philips
screw head design tends to hold the screwdriver in the center of the screw.
