Square Drive


Square drive refers to a kind of screw that is neither philips nor slotted. The driver is literally a square, and fits snugly into the screw head. Some people prefer this sort of screw for a variety of reasons:
-the bit tends to slip out of the screw far less
-this means that the bit does not wear as rapidly
-the bit can support the screw, making one handed driving easier
